S.I.G.M.A.

S.I.G.M.A. stands for "Social / Intellectual Graduate Mathematics Activities".

Current Activities
The most common activities organized by Sigma are:

  • The weekly Sigma Seminar. If you would like to give a talk are get otherwise involved in this, contact Lance Miller.
  • Dinner and a Movie, usually the first Thursday of the month. A voting ballot to choose which movie we will watch appears about a week beforehand in the graduate student mail room, where there will also be a sign-up sheet to indicate who would like to bring what types of food. For more information contact Oscar Levin or Lisa Termine.
  • The Halloween Party: this is organized around October 31st (not the biggest surprise!) and you'll receive an e-mail in your departmental account a few weeks beforehand.
