UConn Math Club
The Math Club generally meets once a week to listen to speakers addressing topics of mathematical interest to undergraduates. All UConn students are welcome to become members. For further information, please go to Math Club Website. The Math Club Advisor is Keith Conrad.

Pi Mu Epsilon
Outstanding achievement in undergraduate mathematical studies is traditionally recognized by induction into the national mathematics honorary fraternity, Pi Mu Epsilon. A chapter of the fraternity is located at the University of Connecticut and each year a number of selected mathematics students are invited to join this organization. It has been traditional that a distinguished mathematician be invited to deliver a mathematical lecture to the new members on the day of induction, ordinarily during the fourth week of April.

Calculus Competition
Beginning with 1981, the Mathematics Department has given a competitive examination in calculus each year, early in the month of April. Thanks to the generosity of a donor who wishes to remain anonymous, awards of money and mathematics books are presented to those participants who do outstanding work in the competition.

William Lowell Putnam Mathematics Competition
The examination for this intercollegiate national competition takes place the first Saturday of December. Individual and team prizes are awarded nationally. UConn students are encouraged to participate, and the Mathematics Department gives prizes to those who perform well.

Gamma Iota Sigma
Gamma Iota Sigma is a national scholastic insurance fraternity with a Chapter at UConn since 1978.
